The Wine
Our Bordeaux-style flagship — and the one wine here that reaches beyond the estate. Estate Cabernet Sauvignon from the top of the hillside leads at 80% of the blend, rounded out with Merlot and Petit Verdot. It opens with blackberry, plum, and dried violet, then fills in with vanilla, cacao, and a subtle earthiness. Bright and beautifully integrated, with real texture and a long finish of dark fruit. Built to age and to reward patience.
The Vineyard
The Cabernet is estate-grown — six acres at the very top of the property, on steep red volcanic Boomer Loam at nearly 1,000 feet. The Merlot and Petit Verdot are sourced from growers we trust elsewhere in Sonoma County, which is why this is the one wine we don’t call estate.
The Winemaking
Aged 18 months in American oak, half of it new — which shows in the wine’s vanilla and cacao. 15.1% alcohol.
Food Pairing
Pan-seared duck breast. Braised short rib. Aged hard cheeses.
